Recently I had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Keri Lewis, former member of the 90’s R&B band Mint Condition. This fellow mid-western native (he’s from Minneapolis) is no stranger to the music industry. He is a multi platinum, award winning producer, musician, composer, and songwriter. For years Keri has been behind the scenes co-writing and co- producing hits like “Breakin My Heart (Petty Brown Eyes)”, “You Send Me Swinging”, and “If You Love Me”. He has also written and produced for other artist including his former wife Toni Braxton .
Now Keri is re-introducing himself as a solo artist with the release of his debut single “LOVE”, a socially conscious track that reminds is that with all that is going on in the world, “the one thing that we should all be sure of” is that “this world needs more LOVE.”
During our conversation we talking about his long absence from the music scene, his new solo career, the social responsibilities of artist today, co-parenting, and so much more. So make your favorite cocktail/mocktail, find a comfy spot, sit back, and enjoy my conversation with Keri Lewis!
